Hybrid & EV electrical

Hybrids and EVs still run a conventional 12V or 24V system alongside the high-voltage drive battery — and it's that low-voltage side, charging faults and accessory fitting where we work. Being upfront about scope matters here, because guessing at high-voltage systems is genuinely dangerous.

Signs you need this

  • 12V battery issues on a hybrid or EV (yes, they still have one)
  • Accessories or infotainment not powering on correctly
  • Charging fault not related to the main drive battery
  • 12V battery going flat repeatedly
  • Want accessories (dashcam, towbar wiring) fitted on a hybrid or EV

What we do

We work on the 12V and 24V systems, accessory wiring and charging faults on hybrid and EV vehicles. High-voltage drive battery and motor work requires specific high-voltage competency and equipment — if that’s what your vehicle needs, we’ll say so upfront and point you to the right specialist rather than take on work outside that scope.

What it costs

Cost depends on the fault. We’ll confirm scope and price before starting.

What we work on

Hybrid vehicles · Electric vehicles (12V and 24V systems and accessories)

Questions

Do you work on the high-voltage battery in my EV or hybrid?
No — high-voltage drive battery and motor work needs specific competency and equipment we don’t carry. We work on the 12V and 24V side (accessories, charging faults, general electrical), and we’ll point you to the right specialist for anything high-voltage.
Can you fit a dashcam or towbar wiring to my EV?
Yes — accessory fitting on hybrids and EVs is within what we do.
My hybrid’s 12V battery keeps going flat — is that normal?
No — a hybrid’s 12V battery going flat repeatedly points to a fault worth checking, same as on a conventional car.
