Dashcams, reversing cameras & stereo

Anyone can zip-tie a dashcam to the windscreen. Getting the wiring hidden, hardwired to a fused circuit instead of dangling off the cigarette lighter, and not draining your battery overnight, takes a bit more care.
Signs you need this
- Want a dashcam hardwired instead of running off a cable to the lighter socket
- Reversing camera or parking sensors not currently fitted
- Stereo or CarPlay/Android Auto unit needs installing or replacing
- Existing accessory installation looks messy or wasn’t done properly
- Worried about accessories draining the battery when the car’s parked up
What we do
Hardwired installs run off a fused, switched circuit so accessories aren’t drawing power when the car’s off, with wiring routed and hidden properly rather than left visible. We check compatibility with the vehicle’s existing electronics before fitting anything, since some modern vehicles need a bit more care around aftermarket wiring.
What it costs
Cost depends on the accessory and how involved the install is. We’ll estimate before fitting anything.

Questions
- Will a hardwired dashcam drain my battery overnight?
- Not if it’s wired correctly off a switched circuit — this is exactly the kind of install we do properly rather than off the cigarette lighter.
- Can you fit a reversing camera to any car?
- Most vehicles, yes — we’ll confirm compatibility with yours.
- Do you sell the units, or do I need to bring my own?
- We can advise on options, or fit units you’ve already bought.
